Jean-Claude Blanc

White is a beautiful colour

Born and raised Cap Haitien on Haiti's north coast, Jean Claude studied there as well, in the atelier, Arc-en-Ciel. Beginning with watercolour, he moved on to oils and acrylics where he developed into a true master. His first work, a landscape, was sold in 1983.

He now lives in Port-au-Prince and makes his living from his paintings. Jean Claude's works have been shown in expositions both in Cap Haitien and in group shows in France.

" I love to paint landscapes with people and animals. And, I think that white is an extremely beautiful colour, so I use a great deal, developing my own style in so doing."
